One savvy shopper was left thrilled when she spotted children’s football kits for less than £5 while browsing the aisles in her local Lidl.

Thrilled with her finds, Sophie Bolton, amongst many other parents, took to social media to show off her purchase and alert other shoppers.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.5 million members, the mother shared a snap of her haul and wrote: “For any footie kids….England 2024 kits, Lidl £4.99.”

Sophie was lucky enough to get her hands on three of the Euro 2024 football kits, one in size 2-4 years, another aged 6-8 and a third aged 10-12.

The two-piece official licensed set is perfect for England football fans and at just £4.99, it’s a real bargain.

The shirt is complete with a printed design on the back and the shorts have an elasticated waist.

The sets are made from 100% recycled material and are available from ages two to 12.

With the Euros starting in just a matter of days, you’ll have to move fast to nab this sporty bargain.

Not only is Lidl selling cheap football kits, there are footballs too.

Another parent who spotted the football finds was keen to show other bargain hunters.

Also posting on the same Facebook page, Danielle Thompson shared pictures of her buys – the football kit and a football – and penned: “Absolute bargain.”

Danielle confirmed she nabbed the Euro football from a Lidl store in Hartlepool

There are two footballs to choose from – one for just £2.99 and another priced at £9.99.

The lightweight balls, which are only available in stores, are sure to provide your kids with hours of fun this summer – and are a great way to get into the Euro 2024 mood.

Parents were left open-mouthed at the Lidl buys.

One mother beamed: “The kids wanted the kits this year so I got these for them instead of paying out over £100 on the proper ones.

“These are decent and the kids are looking forward to wearing them.”

Someone else wrote: “I got one of these for my eight year old size 8-10 – t-shirt just fits for this year, he is skinny but tall for his age.

“He absolutely loves it and it’s such a bargain!

“Covered it in pen and bean juice within minutes of having it on but washed out really easily. Recommend.”

At the same time, other bargain hunters tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the Lidl buys.

One person tagged a Facebook user and asked: “If you see these will you grab me some please?”

A second asked a friend: “Have a look when you’re next in for me please.”

Meanwhile, one happy shopper beamed: “They are also doing just the top for ladies, £4.99. Bought myself one, I’m ready!”
