A CLEVER woman has shared her quick hack for removing calluses at the bottom of your feet.
She said that it’s a useful tip when you’re in-between pedicures — and all you need is a 25-cent grocery item.

Anne Caserta (ceo_of_randomness) is a health and wellness fan who shares her tricks for looking and feeling your best.
In an Instagram Reel, she revealed a hack that will smooth the hard skin on the bottom of your feet without a trip to the nail salon.
If there’s one item to stock up to keep your feet smooth, it’s limes.
Fresh limes are easy to come by and cost 25 cents at your local Walmart.
That’s exactly what Caserta used when she demonstrated how they “eat calluses.”
“In between pedicures, you can do this,” she said.
All you need are two items and three seconds.
First, Caserta cut a lime in half and rubbed it on the callused area of her big toe.
Then, while it was still wet, she took a file and scrubbed the area.
“Voila! Take a look at that,” she said, showing off her foot.
Caserta’s big toe went from dry and bumpy to smooth and moisturized within seconds.
“Save some lime for my margaritas afterwards!” one viewer joked.
Many people agreed with Caserta and thought it was a good idea.
Dr. Catherine Chang, a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, commented on the video on TikTok.
She explained that citric acid in lime is a good exfoliant, and she also suggested using a mix of half pineapple juice and half water.
Dr. Bishr Al-Dabagh, a dermatologist in North Carolina, also weighed in on the technique on the social media platform.
He noted that it can be done on the foot because the “skin is thick,” but he wouldn’t recommend it on any other part of the body.
However, other doctors weren’t as convinced and advised against the inexpensive foot hack.

Dr. Pimple Popper, a dermatologist whose real name is Sandra Lee, shared in her video that Caserta’s foot was dry, not callused.
She said it would be “better to squeeze that lime into your drink” between pedicures.
Dr. Sasha Haddad agreed with the assessment, saying you should never use lime or lemon juice on your skin.
In her video, she explained that the fruits’ juices are “very acidic and can actually, irritate and cause some scarring.”
