Many dermatologists warn that hands are one of the first parts of the body to show signs of aging.
One woman shared the skincare routine she swears by to keep hers looking young.

In a Reddit post, user Caitykate98762002 showed a before and after picture of her hands before breaking down each step of her anti-aging regime.
She explained that her hands began to develop wrinkles earlier than she expected.
“I started noticing when I took pictures of my nails that my hands looked older than they should,” Caity said.
“I’m amazed at what a difference a routine made.”
Caity credited her daily routine with taking years off the look of her hands.
“I believe this progress is mostly from SPF and moisturizing, but I have also been using some actives,” she said.
For her morning routine, she revealed that she washes her hands with diluted Dr. Bronner’s Soap, available for $16 from Target.
Next, Caity applies the facial serum Eve Hansen Vitamin C to her hands.
The skincare product is available for $17 from Amazon.
Finally, she lathers on a layer of sunscreen, which she reapplies throughout the day.
For her nighttime routine, she washes her hands once again with Dr. Bronner’s Soap.
Caity switched out the Eve Hansen Vitamin C for the brand’s retinol serum, available for $29 from Amazon.
She said that she would occasionally apply a tretinoin cream to her hands.
Caity explained that she only carried out this step “if I have extra from my face application.”
Finally, she added the $10 La Roche Posay Lipikar AP + Moisturizer, available from CVS.
What is tretinoin?
Tretinoin is a derivative of Vitamin A used to treat acne and other skin conditions.
Creams containing the ingredient can be used to tackle fine wrinkles, dark spots, or rough skin caused by the sun.
Tretinoin works by lightening cells and replacing older skin with newer skin.
It slows down the way the body removes cells that may have been harmed by the sun.

“Yo!!! I’m going to try doing a hand skincare routine! I have goblin claws!” wrote one impressed reader.
“Wow! You shaved a good few years off them,” said another commenter.
“Wait WHAT, holy s**t, my hands have basically been like your ‘before’ picture for well, forever,” said a third person.
“OK damn, [I’m] going to do some shit for them from now on I guess.”
“Witchcraft! Wizardry! No seriously, amazing. My hands also look like the before picture and I [thought], ‘I guess that’s what turning 30 means’ [but] you’ve given me some hope,” wrote one reader.
