AN age-defying mom has revealed the beauty tricks she swears by for maintaining her youthful appearance.
She remembers investing in quality skincare when she started working for herself in her 20s.

Tracy Campoli is a wellness coach and founder of the fitness plan Total Body Transformation.
She has over 251,000 subscribers on YouTube, where she shares her love of exercise, fashion, and life in Miami.
She has often been mistaken for being up to a decade younger than her age.
Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she revealed how she continues to defy the signs of aging at 49.
BEAUTY BEGINNER
Campoli said her skin was “pretty good” growing up but there was a period when she had to use prescription products for her acne.
She looked to magazines including Mademoiselle and Vogue for beauty advice.
She was just 18 when she began to use affordable anti-aging cosmetics from drugstores.
“I was a big fan of Neutrogena,” she said.
“That was my budget at the time and I lived in an area where there wasn’t a Sephora or something like that.
“I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts, and without having the internet, magazines were everything for me.
“I was really into fashion and skincare.
“I was a kid so I didn’t really have money to invest in things, nor did I have the access. It’s really a different game now.”
SKIN FIX
Campoli moved to New York in her 20s, when she started to spend her earnings on sunscreen and Botox.
In her 30s, she also experimented with chemical peels.
She said as a “frowner,” she’s always had 11 lines and has to have Botox up to three times a year.
She now lives in sun-soaked Miami, where her habit of using sun protection comes in handy.

“I wash my face with La Roche Posay Toleriane,” she said.
“If I have makeup on, I’ll double cleanse with an oil cleanser and then use hyaluronic acid.
“Then there’s a serum I’ve been using for years called Herbal Face Food and it’s really rich.
“It’s loaded with antioxidants and 100% plants, which I like about it.”
She also uses Supergoop Unseen sunscreen every day, mixing it with bronzing drops.

Her evening beauty routine is focused on unwinding when her daughter is asleep.
“I try at least a couple of times a week to take a good Epsom salt bath,” she said.
“It’s good for your hormones and stress relief and I think it helps your skin because you’re sweating. I do tons of Epsom salt.”
I remember when I was 25, I was like, I’m getting old. If I could just hug that little girl, it was because I wasn’t happy.

She joked about using two cups rather than Jessica Biel’s 20-pound mineral bath.
After washing her makeup off, she also moisturizes her body.
MAKEUP MUSTS
Campoli maintains a “fresher” look by wearing minimal makeup and was inspired by old photos to stop wearing lash extensions.
They cast shadows over her eyes, which she thought aged her a bit.
“I used to wear a medium coverage foundation and aside from that period where I had acne, I’ve always had fairly good skin,” she said.
“I realized it looks better and fresher when you actually see your skin.”
She revealed that her makeup collection is mostly “creamier” products that let her natural beauty shine.
She loves highlighter but keeps eyeshadow minimal because a more dramatic approach is now “dated.”

“The way that we were taught to do eye makeup in the nineties was like light, dark, light, and then your eyes start dropping,” she said.
“So then you don’t see that dark.
“You have to modify the way you do things otherwise it just gets lost in your face.”
Campoli said she’s also stopped using spray tans because they emphasize creases and look “oompa loompa.”
However, self-tanner can be a subtle alternative.
WORDS OF WISDOM
Campoli said making an effort with your appearance can boost confidence.
“I don’t like my gray hairs, so I dye my roots,” she said.
“I think some women look amazing and gorgeous with fully gray hair.
One of the things I love about aging is finding that you’re more comfortable with who you are.

“I think the biggest thing is just being a happy person. That really gives you a more youthful appearance. Just loving your life and being at peace with who you are.
“Move your body, eat healthy food, think healthy thoughts, and be around healthy people.”
Campoli said older women inspire her because they are “secure” in themselves.
“One of the things I love about aging is finding that you’re more comfortable with who you are,” she said.
“You’re not necessarily trying to look different, you’re just trying to look like the best version of yourself.
“I’m proud of my age.”
“I remember when I was 25, I was like, I’m getting old,” she continued.
“If I could just hug that little girl, it was because I wasn’t happy.
“I knew that I wanted different things in my life.”
