AN INTERIOR designer has revealed the popular Ikea trend that she can’t stand.
So if you want your home to impress, then you’ll need to listen up.

Nina Takesh, an interior design pro, explained that people often make the same mistake in their home – and it’s all down to a cheap Ikea buy.
Posting on social media, Nina shared her thoughts on faux flowers, which you can buy from Ikea.
Nina uploaded her clip with the caption ‘Something an interior designer would never use in anyone’s home!’ and in her short clip, we saw her standing in the Swedish store.
As she held up some faux roses, she said: “Look at these roses. They’re so fake.”
Nina then advised homeowners: “Do not ever, and I mean ever, under any circumstance, use fake flowers in your home.”
She also claimed that even the faux flowers in paper packaging should be off the cards, as she added: “Even if they’re packaged all cute, don’t fall for it, guys.”
The interior designer then snapped: “There’s nothing like real flowers and nothing says horrible more than faux flowers.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @ninatakeshofficial, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 72,100 views.
But social media users were left totally divided by Nina’s claims – whilst many agreed, others were keen to disagree with the interiors pro.
One user wrote: “I agree with you completely.”
A second chimed in: “You are absolutely right.”
And another agreed: “THANK YOU, FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME.”
But at the same time, many social media users were eager to disagree with Nina.

Trends interior designers hate

IF you want to ensure that your home looks glam, here are the trends that interior designers can't stand.

He said: “If you want everyone to know you’re a horse girl then yellow is perfect for you.”
SIGN OFF:Kelly Hoppen shared her honest thoughts on Live, Love, Laugh signs.
The interior pro explained: “Another gripe of mine – Live, Laugh, Love – those kinds of wooden things that sit on book shelves and floating shelves, that’s so 10, 12, 15 years ago.”
NO GREY YAY: Julie Provenzano explained that grey interiors have been overdone.
She stressed: “We took a good thing and we overdid it to the point that it now feels copy, paste, basic.”
“A properly placed small arrangement on an end table or in a bathroom works for me!”
Whilst someone else shared: “I’m an event planner and I honestly disagree!
