A SKINCARE pro has revealed the overlooked spots that can make you look older you don’t take proper care of them.
Her “most important” tip to prevent premature aging in those areas doesn’t have to cost much at all.

Skincare Junkie founder Dr. Blair Murphy-Rose is a leading board-certified cosmetic, medical, and surgical dermatologist at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York.
Previously, she told The U.S. Sun how your hands show signs of aging first.
She said so many people neglect them and shared her dermatology tips to keep them plump and youthful.
Now, she has revealed several other sneaky signs of aging that people too often skip with their skincare.
SNEAKY SIGNS
Don’t spend all your time protecting your face at the expense of other parts of your body.
“In addition to hands, other frequently overlooked sites where we show signs of aging include the neck and décolletage, earlobes, hair, skin around the eyes, and elbows and knees,” she said.
According to the expert, the “most important” anti-aging skin tip is daily sun protection to help prevent premature aging in these areas.
It also includes sunglasses and similar sun-concealing items.
She also said to avoid heavy earrings, use protective coatings for nails, and incorporate scalp and hair treatments to maintain their health and appearance.
She recommended CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream as a “rich but fast-absorbing hand cream” that “packs the punch” for ultra-hydration to plump skin and lock in moisture.
LAZY LESSON
For anyone who doesn’t want to spend all day applying products to their face, she recommended her “lazy girl” skincare routine.
She first said to opt for a gentle cleanser morning and night, like the Skincare Junkie Gentle Jelly Facial Cleanse.
Then she suggested following it up with an antioxidant moisturizer, such as the Skincare Junkie Megadose Super Antioxidant Face Moisturizer.
Tips to combat aging on your hands
Dr. Blair Murphy-Rose, founder of Skincare Junkie, said that hands are often overlooked, with most women focusing on skincare for their faces.
“One of the first places we show signs of aging are our hands, which accumulate a ton of sun exposure, and therefore sun damage, over time,” Dr. Murphy-Rose said.
The expert broke down some of the tell-tale signs of aging on your hands and how to combat them.
Dr. Murphy-Rose also advised anyone concerned about wrinkled hands to regularly apply “topical antioxidants to protect against the free radical damage occurring at the cellular and DNA levels.”
“This will defend against loss of collagen and elastin and protect against hyperpigmentation over time,” she explained.
“Keeping hands well-moisturized will help to keep skin plump and promote a more youthful appearance,” she explained.
She also said to “consider using a retinol-containing topical to help promote collagen production.”
Lifestyle choices can also help promote youthful-looking hands, including a well-balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, getting adequate sleep, reducing stress, and avoiding smoking.
Dr. Murphy-Rose explained that everyone should be taking “measures to prevent cumulative UV exposures,” which includes applying a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen every day of the year.
She also recommended investing in UPF gloves, which are specifically designed to be worn in warmer conditions.
This will “defend your skin against environmental stressors, and SPF during the day.”
Lastly, she said to apply a hydrating moisturizer, especially one containing retinol, at night before bed.
CLEAN UP
In addition, she shared a convenient beauty buy that provides a deep and gentle clean.

“These are also a great rescue treatment in case you fall asleep with makeup on,” she added.
Dr. Murphy-Rose shared her step-by-step method for the most effectiveness.
“As soon as you wake up, wash off your makeup then apply the pad to reduce the risk of a breakout, followed by a moisturizer,” she said.
