The must-try treatment was shared on Reddit’s Long Hair forum in response to a user asking if rosemary or peppermint oil was most effective for growth.

HAIR HACK

Posting under the name DustyLemonTree, the beauty enthusiast shared their tips for optimal results.

“I mix both (essential oil form) in with castor oil and have been applying it to my hairline for months now,” they said.

“I cannot believe how much baby hair I’ve grown where I’ve never had hair before!!

“I have an uneven hairline and I wanted to fill in those little triangles where hair doesn’t grow on either side and both sides have so much hair now!”

The Redditor revealed their easy-to-follow strategy for oiling their tresses.

“I apply it maybe 3 times a week, the day before I’m washing my hair or overnight or a few hours before washing, nothing too structured, but I’ve made sure to be consistent with doing it every week!” they said.

“This combination has worked wonders and when I re-dye my hair, my hair looks so much fuller each time.”

People were quick to upvote the post and curious about how to measure the ingredients.

A Redditor who used a similar method for their hair growth responded with their advice.

“For peppermint oil, it’s usually 3%,” they said.

“I use a separate container and put 100 drops of almond oil, and then three drops of peppermint oil. (3%) if you’re unsure of measuring the ratio and also use the same dropper.”

A stream of commenters raved about using essential oils in their haircare regimen.

“I use a combination of both in a spray bottle of water before I shower and I’ve noticed a huge difference! I have so many little hairs coming in,” one person said.

“I use rosemary water mixed with a few drops of peppermint oil, and I just don’t have rosemary oil on me so I’ve been using peppermint oil mixed in with my shampoo,” another said.
