SHOPPERS are racing to get to their nearest Asda store, eager to get their hands on packs of mince that have been slashed.
So if you’re on a budget as a result of the cost-of-living crisis, and are looking to cut costs on your grocery shopping where possible, you’ll need to check this out.

Particularly if you’re a fan of spaghetti bolognese, chilli con carne or lasagne, Asda will have just what you need.
One foodie was left beaming when browsing the meat aisle in Asda, when he spotted that 400gram packs of mince had been slashed.
Thrilled with his finds, Phil Bradshaw stocked up on ten packs of the rich beef and pork mince and took to social media to alert others.
Posting on Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls, a private Facebook group with 182,800 members, Phil shared a snap of his cheap haul and wrote: “Left loads. Nobody was there.”
Whilst the packs of mince were once priced at £1.50 each, Phil was thrilled to get his hands on the mince for just 79p each, saving 71p per pack.
What should have cost Phil £15 in total, set him back only £7.90, saving him an impressive £7.10 overall.
Phil later revealed that he was shopping in his local Asda at “about 3pm” when he found the bargain buys.
He added: “Most of the stuff wasn’t reduced anywhere near as much.”
The shopper then claimed: “The gun has an algorithm and reduces things heavily if there is a large quantity of it.
“Was probably 25 packs of this.”
Social media users were stunned by Phil’s bargain haul and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Good bargains there to be had by someone. So kind of you though for leaving some for others and only taking what you needed yourself.”

When do supermarkets put out yellow-sticker bargains?
The time supermarkets reduce their products vary across stores.
Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:
Aldi
Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh products such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.
This is when they have reached the last day of shelf life.
Red stickered items are most commonly found at opening and closing times.
M&S
Reduction times can vary from store to store but is most likely to occur near closing time.
Asda
Asda told Which? that yellow stickers are applied twice a day – in the morning and evening.
Co-op
Co-op told The Sun its reduced-to-clear prices are generally applied about four hours before the store closes.
Lidl
Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with reductions twice a day.
However individual stores may opt to reduce prices throughout the day.
Morrisons
Shoppers online have said that Morrisons does the best bargains first thing in the morning.
However, the store told Which? that there are no specific times for yellow sticker price cuts.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s told The Sun it’s at the store manager’s discretion whether to offer discounts.
However, shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm.
Tesco
Tesco has said there is no specific time for reduction, but again most people found that prices were reduced from 6pm.
Waitrose
As with most of the other stores, Waitrose shoppers have said the best reductions are found before closing.
However the store stated that there is no specific time for yellow stickers to be applied.
At the same time, another bargain hunter claimed: “Bargain.. I’d take the whole lot.”
Whilst one foodie wrote: “Amazing find. I would freeze it all and get out when needed.”
